    Springer spaniels, tell all

Ooops better update this. Winston has now lived with us for 6 weeks. He is an absolute delight, the easiest puppy I have ever met. He's currently curled up on the sofa after his morning walk. He's getting 60-90 minutes walking a day (two or three walks) depending on where we go and how difficult...

What to feed a springer puppy?

We're picking up our springer boy this Saturday, So far I've got a bag of "Step up to Naturals"dry puppy food as that is what puppies are currently on and got some same brand wet food to go with. Personally I hate wet dog food and would rather make homemade. I'm not entirely persuaded on RAW...

    Springer spaniels, tell all

8! Wow. I would love that many but OH would have a heart attack :P. The more I hear about them the more I want one. Can I ask what you feed and how it works for them, mums dogs are on RAW because thats what works for the husky and the lab will eat anything. Training wise do you have any books or...

    Springer spaniels, tell all

I was looking into agility as an outlet for energy for both of us :). My mum had a husky x lab and he is the laziest thing in lazy town and a lab that has to be actively encouraged to even move, we have that effect on dogs. I am aware that a puppy is most likely to be hyper for a while but...

    Springer spaniels, tell all

Tell me all about them please. We've been thinking of getting a dog for ages, putting together ideas for exercising, training etc. Dog geek me :). MIL has told me there is a litter of springer spaniels for sale in her village. KC registered, first vacs done and microchipped, breeder wants them...

    Riding Instructor - Scarborough Area

Don't know if you're still looking but Ann Marshall would be worth a shot if she's still teaching. Also Lesley Evans. Both taught me throughout Pony Club and were great. Might be worth contacting the local PCs and see who they are using now, most are freelance. The Staintondale Hunt branch had...

For those with multiple horses - why?

Because life was boring when we had two, eight however is much more fun. We have two projects, two companions - one 15.2 tbx and one 12h welshy, my PC pony that I never outgrew, two rescues that came to be rehomed and never left and an old pony that we could never part with. One of the...

Embarrassing/naughtiest/stupidest etc thing your horse has done?

I probably should add some of what my mothers eldest gelding has done. Pulled up a 50 metre line of electric fencing in the 15 minutes it took me to walk to the little ponies paddock, sort them out and come back. He detatched the tape from the posts and then he pulled to post out of the ground...

Embarrassing/naughtiest/stupidest etc thing your horse has done?

Well the man banged his head on the roof in shock, turned round then saw my daffy mare looking at him with her big green eyes, she then whinnied at him in a knowing way. I apologised, he apologised and we carried on our hack. He came into my work later that week with his wife who was definately...

Embarrassing/naughtiest/stupidest etc thing your horse has done?

My mare stopped a funeral procession by having a wee in the middle of a narrow country road outside a church. There was no way they could get round her and my god she was peeing for a good minute, I was beetroot red by the time she finished, grunted and carried on her merry way whilst I...

Facebook - Horse shot by livery owner

This is a good point but I would hope the loaner would know the horse well enough to identify it. I have three that look incredibly similiar, to people who don't know them they could be the same animal but I can instantly tell which is which. I wonder if the horse was killed earlier than stated...

Facebook - Horse shot by livery owner

http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/11538293.Horse_killed_and_dumped_in_garden___2_men_arrested/ Apparently the owner thought he was doing the right thing by killing the animal. Anyone who puts a clause in place that means a horse will be killed over such a small sum of money doesn't deserve to be...

    Introducing me and the wolfboy

Mum was a grey and white husky, dad was the most beautiful black lab I have ever laid my eyes on. Mum sadly died at birth and 7 puppies were hand reared, all survived and are all thriving. Amazing really as human mum and dad had a 2yo and a 2 week old baby as well.

    Introducing me and the wolfboy

Hi guys I've been reading this part of the forum for a while. I thought it might be time to introduce me and the wolfchild I spend my time with. This is my 1/2 husky 1/2 lab boy Bailey And this is what he spends 90% of his time doing And this was him a couple of days after he arrived...
