    shavings or straw

    with shavings now at nearly £9 per bale and i pay £7 for a large round bale that lasts me about 3-4 weeks, i think i will choose straw any day of the week.

    Storing haylage

    Haylage is better stored outside as inside you have more chance of rats etc getting in it but as others have said get a bird net over it and dont worry the frost will not harm it.
