Storing haylage

Hi

Just wondered if it is ok to store bales of haylage outdoors? Hoped to get some delivered to save me doing weekly trips but it would have to live out in the field as no barn at the moment.

Yes, although it may be a good idea if possible to throw a tarpauline over to prevent birds ripping the wrappers open.

yes i would think so i would throw something over them incase the frost gets into them!

Haylage is better stored outside as inside you have more chance of rats etc getting in it but as others have said get a bird net over it and dont worry the frost will not harm it.
