I have no facts or first hand experience of these lorries. However am myself currently researching these and similar lorries. My main concern with these lorries is how are they being made at almost half the price of similar types? I spoke to Kent as I only have £15k to spend and it seemed doable...
Hi all,
I am looking to downsize from my 7.5t lorry to a 3.5t. Firstly I need to upgrade anyway as my current lorry is ancient! But also I travel alone (with one 16hh horse) so I think I'd feel more confident driving something smaller. I will of course check payload and hire a similar lorry...
You're probably right, I get very paranoid with things like this as it took us over a year to find a saddle that fitted her, then trying to find a girth that worked for us! I think I'm going to try the Norton Elastique Leather Girth as the elastic is doubled over so should have some give in it...
I wish I had £340 to spend! I have looked at that one before, its very unusual looking! If I cant find one cheaper than that then I might have to try it!
Further to my post the other day regarding having stud holes put in for my mare, I've realised I'm probably going to need a stud girth which no doubt will be a complete nightmare finding! Just looking through pictures and although we don't jump big in some photos she's almost touching that area...
mrsh2010 that's useful to know, I was worrying I would have a massive kit with lots of choices and no idea what I should be using. Did you just buy a small kit or just one set? I didn't know you could get multi ground type ones!
Thanks so much Ffion Winnie that's really useful, yes you're probably right - as I try to avoid it I'm not really helping her get better. Admittedly I am a wimp and my friends always joke when I say no to cantering on the slightest incline!
I was planning to use cotton wool as think that would...
So I done my first ODE yesterday, went really well but came away feeling like I ought to have studs put in as she slipped in the dressage (on grass) which then made me very nervous where we were cantering.
She currently just has road nails and these small pins (no idea what you call them)...
Thanks Jericho and Neversaydie - I think I could get her to that fitness in 7 weeks, just need to find places I can get a long enough canter in. Thinking there are some gallops not too far from me so maybe I should hire those out a couple of times on top of hacking as although I have places to...
I'm not sure she'll ever be "too" fit! Thanks, hopefully once we're there I will stop stressing and enjoy myself, always worry myself when its something we've never done before esp as I shut off and go into panic mode!
Hi all, I'm looking at doing my first ever ODE this summer, (will be starting with something low key) but I'm concerned about the fitness level.
She's a not very forward cob so I feel I will need to have her fitter than other, perhaps finer, breeds.
How much work are other peoples horses...
I ordered a working hunter saddle earlier this year, my mare sounds similar shape to yours. Spent over a year trying to find a saddle, various tree'd saddles, Solution Saddle and Heather Moffat. Had been recommended Stephanie Bloom by another saddler that didn't think she could find a standard...
