My four year old traditional cob has just kept dropping weight this winter. She shares a field with our pony who is thriving. We've had teeth checked, she is wormed regularly, vet gave her a clean bill of health on last check up, she is not yet worked, I have rugged her throughout the colder...
Thanks all, we have begun the glove with stick training today, took a little while for her to stop lashing out but we got there, we'll continue this morning and night. Thanks
We recently brought a wonderful little mare, who has not really been handled. We've managed to get her used to being regularly caught, groomed, etc and with a lot of work picking up her front feet daily. Back feet though seem to a new barrier. If we go near her back legs, and start to run a hand...

We have found the absolutely perfect horse for us, we wanted something very specific and this cob ticks all the boxes (which frankly was amazing given our list!). Only issue that as a 5 year old, for the first time this year the horse suffered quite badly with sweet itch. The price definitely...
I've hacked out a bit on a friends horse but found even cantering left me nervous, which actually left me rather embarrassed and sort of avoided riding again.
Hi, I have ridden for over 30 years and would have counted myself as an experienced, confident rider - I'd competed BSJA, pre-novice eventing, and broken in my own horses. Having had the chance to get back in the saddle now after a 4 year break after having my second child and that confidence...
