I dunno, how old was the unvaccinated one that died? Since vaccinated horses are getting it too, then an older vaccinated horse could get it and die too. Hopefully not though. Or what about horses that have a weak immune system? I think it's better to be safe than sorry. Would definitely rather...
I did the opposite. Wanted a cob that had been there, got the t shirt, was well trained and safe. I bought a young wb that had very little knowledge in the basics, but made me feel safe. It was still a stupid idea, and a very expensive one it turns out. Should have kept looking. 😂
The short Dunlop wellies are pretty great. Can get them for £10 on amazon. I've got a couple of pairs. They last a while too, although not as long as more expensive boots.
He'd be fine doing intro or prelim. I did an online intro test with him in November actually. He has done showing before too just in hand with me but can't see egg he couldn't do ridden.
Thank you everyone. Looks like I was wrong but I'm not telling my partner that. :p Will start looking for a sharer and see if there is anyone willing to take him on for a few days a week. Going to be so weird letting someone else look after him.
Oh no I will never sell him. I might be a useless rider, but I'm at least certain he will be safe and pain free with me. Whereas you never know who you are selling to and if a dodgy dealer gets hold of him, they will sell him as a top showjumper or something and lie about his history. So he is...
I'll believe it when I see it. They've been saying for weeks that we will see snow and be hit by an icy blast. I mucked out in a t shirt on Saturday, and I live in scotland.
Hopefully it doesn't happen though, not like 2010 at least. But I have snow tyres so not worried about being able to get...
He's fine to be around, a bit bolshy sometimes for food, but not aggressive, he just gets excited when he sees his bucket. He's sound to hack and school, the vet says he is more sound than she expected him to ever be and she said the best we could hope for is 80-90% sound.
He is never going to...
My partner keeps telling me to part loan/share my horse, but I don't think anyone would want to as there are better horses out there. So honest opinions wanted. Oh I did used to have a different username, but changed so if this sounds familiar that's why.

Well considering my horse ripped an amigo in half and removes any other amigo I put on him, I haven't bothered trying the more expensive versions out of fear. Thankfully he seems happy in the cheap rugs I buy him, although he is still trying to teach the other horses to undo his rugs, and failing.
It was. :) She is an amazing instructor and knows so much, but can actually teach you well. Find some instructors are great riders but can't really teach that well. Plus she knows my horse well and why I struggle with him. Lack of confidence doesn't help which I need to get over as he wouldn't...
