I am slightly distraught to find that my faithful Le Chameau wellies won't even go on any more as in the 2 years since I have given up working with horses I have become a little bit podgy. I usually use my walking boots for all outside activities now but I am going beating with the shoot from work next week and want to have a slightly more waterproof-ness.
SO I need a pair of wide fit (47cm calf, sob!), green wellies, under £30 that aren't shiny, flowery or make me look like a bit of a tool. I have had a look on amazon and they are all a bit naff or super expensive but really can't be bothered to trawl through all the online saddlerys. Any recommendations? Absolutely no Hunters no matter how reduced they are!

Dunlop’s :p

Spend a bit more and get the puroforts. Mine are a few years old now and been stabbed by several pitchforks and you wouldn’t know. They are much lighter than the cheaper versions

Decathlon fishing/hunting wellies. I have a 45cm calf and bought the short ones, and then found out I could fit into the long ones too :) they're only about £12 a pair and my last pair lasted 4 years

The short Dunlop wellies are pretty great. Can get them for £10 on amazon. I've got a couple of pairs. They last a while too, although not as long as more expensive boots.

Sainsbury’s had a lovely pair last week £18 green with a horse print on. Shorter, an inch or two below the knee and a wide fit.

Yes, I was going to say decathlon too - I have a cheap green pair from there that are pretty smart and have proved hardwearing. They have a lot of different ones too, including some with adjustable calves, so if you have a store near you it would be worth a visit.
