We came 4th in a class of 12. The judge said Smurf could be a bit more forward so try feeding him something with more energy but at the end of the day he is a child's LR and FR pony so that won't be happening. He'd of gone forwards if I'd pushed him more but it was his first show and a BSPS Show...
Thank you thas what I was thinking, I've got clippera and trimmers so will hopefully be Ok
I've only ever done bibs or irish at most but new pony is getting unbelievably sweaty with just 15-20 mins in the school
Hi, I'm attempting my first hunter clip on our pony and am completely stumped on how to clip inside the back legs. I know where to do the line on the outside but where does it go on the inside?
Im sure someone can enlighten me on the obviously simple solution
I'm doing it tomorrow and...
Thanks :) not a member yet, just seeing how it all goes, i cant see anything about members rosettes in the schedule BUT my scan has been moved so looks like we will be going for the Novice A & B class now and maybe the open mixed m&m for experience if he's a good boy :)
Another thing is my tie... It's the same green as my waistcoat but has small Welsh dragons and horse shoes on it, it's a Bangor Racing tie but I think it's appropriate for a welshie class or would it be frowned upon for having a pattern??
Also does it matter what colour the restricted...
Thank you :) it's BSPS area 4a although we are going straight into the open because the Novice class has a risk of clashing with my MRI scan Sunday morning :/
Can you do that?!
I may just invest in a new jacket for next season depending on how we do, this one is rather ancient and just making do with it until next year. Can't justify spending out on a new one just for 2-3 winter shows when we are just beginning the serious stuff really.
On the plus...
Thanks :) i usually buy kids show stuff so jods will be on the list. My shirts going a lovely colour but jods don't seem to be doing much. Good excuse relegate them to daily jods and get some new show ones I suppose haha.
I've got short brown boots so need to source a navy hat which is easier...
Hi all,
What colour hat, boots and gloves would I wear with this brown tweed jacket with black velvet collar and pockets?
I usually wear black for local but I know it isn't correct but I can't help but think any other colours would look odd with the jacket having black velvet on it...
I changed from shaving to wood pellets from shavings.....godsend!! I got some sacks from Liverpool Wood Pellets to get my 12hh ponys bed started, simply because i wanted to try them before comitting to a whole pallet load, Ive since found a local supplier (WBC Eco Products on Facebook) who will...
Wow, what a big handsome boy... Another one for Anna Pennel.... She made one for our boy whose smaller than pony but Shetland has everything on last hole and looks a bit silly
Awwww I'm sure he's not a freak!! Every horse is different :) Sandy doesn't believe in taking any more strides than he has to.... That's quite a normal take off distance for him no matter how big (or small in the case) the fence is haha he lands about the same on the other side too!
he really stands off most jumps and the instructor was trying to get him to collect a bit in between so "his brain can catch up with the rest of him" as she says so put it slightly shorter but it kind of went the opposite way, and that was out of a very collected trot..... He mostly does...
