Thanks everyone. Did look at Sorrentos and Defrnders. Don't think Sorrento has enough towing capacity, I have 510 trailer and two horses. Don't usually take both as one is the size of a young mammoth. Defender would do but is so basic and I need the vehicle to take aged relatives out in so need...

Have reached the point where my third Terrano is ready for a quieter life. Need something similar, needs to tow trailer and two horses. I don't want a Disco and they stopped making Terranos after 06 as far as I can see. Any recommendations please?

Its all about the canter rhythm. Work on establishing a good balanced forward rhythm. Count the strides to maintain the beat...1,2,3,4. And keep that beat to the fence without worrying about the stride. Straightness and rhythm and let the horse do the rest. Sounds simples I know!

A friend of mine rode my made and jumped her in spurs with the same result. She normally uses spurs for dressage with no problem We left the made alone until well healed as I felt that leg or stirrup leather would rub and prevent healing. Sprayed with aluspray to keep flies away.

Just a thought. Has she been in season whist being difficult? My mare is a total witch both to handle and ride when in season. Worthwhile keeping a diary to see if there is any pattern that coincides with her hormonal changes.
