The horrible feeling when....

You get a phone call from your husband who's been up to do my horse that says "call me as soon as you get the chance"

I'm stuck in hospital having just given birth on Friday night/sat morning. Sent OH to do the horse. Found out that the YO had six new horses arrive in one go yesterday and some were put in field next to him (no warning or precautions taken)- my boy got upset and had got himself injured. Thankfully one of the girls who works for the event rider who is backing him over Xmas came to see him knowing I was in hospital and rang the vet on my behalf who's been up to treat him. So grateful to her- annoyed the YO has said/done nothing and now sat in my hospital room worried about the state of his legs!! Apparently he's got lots of slices some quite deep but none requiring stitching.... Arggg it's sugh a hard feeling knowing there is nothing you can do and my imagination is going wild!

Lovely to know though that there are still people out there willing to look out for each other's horses.

Sorry a pointless post- just needed to 'tell' someone!
 
First of all - huge congratulations on the birth of your new baby :)

Horrible getting those sort of calls, though it sounds like he is in safe hands and I hope the cuts are just superficial.
 
Oh no! Poor you having that to worry about. Brilliant that your friend got the vet out though so hopefully that can put your mind at rest.

And how wonderfully amazing that you have just given birth! Well done and massive congratulations :) x x
 
What a shame! Poor you, but I am sure he is fine, but what a thing to happen when you should be ecstatic and relaxing with your new baby. I am sure you will soon be able to check him and put your mind at rest. Try not to worry!
 
When I have had a call like that then photos sent by text are a life saver! I usually find my OH is so dutiful and conscientious that any injuries are overstated if anything, and a photo puts my mind at rest.

Congratulations!!!!!
