    I used to swear by shires but now I’m lucky if they survive one winter. As much as I thought they would be crap, I bought Lemieux turnouts this year and I wish I’d bought them sooner!! No leaks at all even in torrential all day rain.

    Boots soltan factor 50. Waterproof so doesn’t come off when drinking. Is fairly thick so as said before it’s more of an aim and rub. Doesn’t smell x

    I found pellets too dusty and the pony ate them. I’ve just switched to rapasorb which is chopped rape straw. No dust at all and extremely absorbent

    No you’re not being silly at all. Seasons can be triggered by light. Hence why some mares don’t come into season during the winter-restricted daylight but come in from April time - longer hours of daylight
