Hanging swede on a peice of string is a good tactic to beat bordom in the stable. most horses love swede. Not sure about the other two, but if he/she will eat it i would imagine its ok. I had a pony who love parsnips!!! she eat them before he dinner, carrots, swede anything!

yeah i know the one thanks. everyday work doesnt seem to affect me too bad. I have quite a good chair already. its more riding/hacking (when i get lazy!) and travelling (planes and coaches make my shoulder really hurt)

Thanks everyone, I am actually writing this for my mother (she doesnt do computers!) Yes she has trouble mounting and dismounting already .. but at the moment its the actual riding she cant do as its far too painful. Thats why she wants to know if there is hope after she has a hip...
