Lari update - good and bad

What sort of location are you in Birker? I'm sure there must be some local HHO's who would be happy to meet up and hack when you are back on the road. I echo all of the above, solo hacks are a big thing to ask of a horse, especially one so new to you, and you to him. I have owned my mare for 5...

Lari update - good and bad

I can't recall whether you hacked him when you tried him? Possibly just a bit of new home nerves that need ironing out?

You've bought the horse, but somehow "forgotten" to mention it to your significant other ...

Not quite the same but a close friend of mine was due to buy a new sofa with her other half, they had put some money away together for it. He went to work, and came to the yard afterwards, pointed out a new horse cantering around the field and asked who it was. Friend then said 'that's your new...

    Mid October weekend plans

That hacking looks fab, where abouts do you go? I don't think you are a million miles from me if you go to Onley. I'm really struggling to find anywhere nice to hack so would welcome any suggestions.

    Wobbly bits boot camp

Yes agreed, and great in theory but no matter how much I try I cannot seem to keep my legs still, even if I'm trying my very hardest so something needs to change - I just don't know what yet!

    Wobbly bits boot camp

I’ve seen the activate your seat programme but not looked massively into it. Is it pricey? My only reservation is having to do the exercises with the bungee, I’m not sure I really have anywhere at home to use it

    Wobbly bits boot camp

It is high time for me to start to get to grips with my wobbly bits - flappy lower leg, poor core and wibbly wobbly hands. I have been living in relative blissful ignorance, however after watching a video of my tests at the weekend, I am cringing with how unsecure my seat is, so I need to do...

    Mid sept Weekend Plans

Lesson last night was really good. Very different from Super-Instructor but I took a lot away from it. We worked on unlocking the left shoulder and getting a fluid right flexion through the lateral work; we tend to get really stuck and it results in the lateral work becoming tense and horrible...

    Mid sept Weekend Plans

Very jealous MP, Gareth is not too far from me and I would love a clinic with him. Can I ask where it was advertised? I'll keep my eye out for another one. Fingers crossed for the lorry. Lesson tonight with a different instructor who used to teach me YEARS ago, I did a pole clinic with her not...

    Canter transitions

If you feel safe to do so, it might be worth taking your pedals away and asking then.

    early August Weekend Plans!

Thanks for the well wishes all. Vet has been and thankfully it does look superficial, albeit very swollen and grim. Antibiotics, bute and a few days of box rest with a review into early next week. Vet has also said she will write me a note for the venue so I may be able to get some money back...

    early August Weekend Plans!

Absolutely bugger all here. Was supposed to be at Onley for AF’s but we’ve had a field injury (due to a pig ignorant gelding who has no respect for fencing). Vets this morning to see what the damage is ☹️ Poor girl is feeling quite sorry for herself

Best of luck - looking at previous pictures you have posted he will breeze 90 fences

Weekend plans - end of July

Will be watching the eventing when I can. Lesson with Super-Instructor tomorrow and a trip to the gallops with a friend on Sunday. I think a day off this evening while I haul my fat backside to the gym. I'm supposed to be at areas next weekend but I'm having a crisis of confidence over whether...
