A big belly is not necesserily a fat belly. A horse can have a big belly for other reasons such as worms or not being fed enough. Lack of protein in a diet can cause a fat/pot belly. It would seem more likely to be for one of these reasons considering that you say she looks underweight...

It might sound silly but there are people on ebay who sell travel boots for miniatures. I have some and they are great. You dont get much skinnier legs than miniatures! Why not search a seller and ask them if they can make them longer?

Ive been "mounted" ( unintentionally i might add ) by a miniature stallion a few times :o believe you me id rather it be a miniature than a full 17.2HH!! Although they can cause some trouble their is noway they would inflict the same damage a larger horse would.
