Get the homoeopathy remedey tablets graphites, should sell it at your feed merchants. I swear by it, will help clear it up then carry on feeding it to prevent it.
What a gorgeous gorgeous boy!! You must be sooooo proud of the little man! I think turquoise, but like others have said he'd look great in any colour!! The turquoise is lurrvly tho )
I just looked at that ad before I came on here and read any of these posts. In my opinion he looks lovely, but I do love coloured horses and think Criollos are a great breed. Also I'm into western riding. I'd say he is overpriced and does need a bit more weight on him, but apart from that he...
It would depend on what she expected of you and what sort of times you'd be up at the yard before and after work, of course you'd have to discuss it with the YO and see if it was all viable. But it is possible to work a routine, and once you get into it it's workable. I don't have a full time...
Lol, yes although the cold weather had it's problems, it was nice too have hard ground with no mud, and you could actually push a wheelbarrow into the field with no problems!!
The only one I've lost so far, the others have been sold on, was my Shetland who was only 10 and pts due to a brain tumour. Like Milliepops said anything can happen at any age, I've known people that have lost horses of all ages. Oldest was a pony on my first yard that was pts at the grand old...
Not that I have a trailer now, but years ago when I had ponies my mum and dad used to use a volvo 340 to pull the trailer and we also had a skoda (don't laugh lol) for a little while, can't remember which one but quite a big one. Then we started to use dad's work van as he used to do the...
I know the feeling, think it's because we had such a wet summer and such a wet winter last year too. It's as if it's been raining for over a year! Yes winter is certainly dragging!! I'm getting fed up of the mud too, and I know my boys are, but the three of them are total wimps anyway lol!!
Pmsl! You'd be ok if you had a nice long roman road to ride along, but of course you couldn't turn round to come home again! Some people are just mad, like the woman at a yard I was once at that would go round weighing everybodys haynets to see if they were overfeeding their horses!! She had a...
Oh must add, at the moment I am using separate brushes on my old man due to his skin condition on his back legs, don't want the other two getting anything just incase they could.
Mine have separate ones, as different colours, although I use some items (plastic and rubber curry combs) on all as I have every day items then 'best' brushes that never get used lol!! It's just easier to use the same items on them rather than go back and forth to the tack room to get their own...
Looking for somewhere on my own, had a look in Serpells, will have to drop into Tom Willcocks and have a look at their board, don't go in there very often at all. Thanks, will have a look and see if I can find out about the field at Sparkwell.
I'd get a EDT out too. I used to use the vet to rasp teeth at one time, but now only use an EDT. EDT's do a much more thorough job as that's what they are qualified for. Nothing against vets but they haven't had the training and experience with teeth that EDT's have.
