My daughter has one and it's perfect for a growing head however a friends daughter wasn't allowed to use it at the local riding school as it apparently not up to standard.
I'm in the same situation as I am a teacher. My vet is very good and will see my horse without me being there as long as it's a assessment she can do on her own. If it requires two people I have to get the last appointment of the day and hope I don't get held up at work.
Where I keep my horse you have to clear the school of poo, jumps, poles etc when you come out. If the person going in after you asks for equipment to be left out it becomes their responsibility to put it away but by the end of the day the school must be empty.
I have a 22 year old with hock arthritis. He was diagnosed 6 years ago and is still going strong. At the time he was struggling to even trot but I worked closely with my vet to get him comfortable and the pain under control and now I maintain him with a joint supplement, regular exercise and...
I put a horse on loan and it went with its bit nothing else. The loaner requested this due to things getting broken and damaged and it avoided any difficult situations. The loaner brought him everything he needed. When he was returned he came back with just his bit and she kept what she had...
Mine fractured its splint last year. His leg was very swollen and it was extremely hot however wasn't lame in walk or trot. He made a full recovery after about 6 weeks of box rest.
I have a horse that reacts and a fantastic vet who has tried everything to avoid it without any luck. Last year we resulted to giving her a high dose of Bute the day before and for 7 days after.
Definitely a common thing in the horse world. Wouldn't mind my wheel barrow being borrowed but when they want to constantly borrow your horse and can't understand why you say no that is beyond a joke.
A lady who was on our yard did it she ended up worse off. The horse was a very nice horse but due to lack of time Had just been left and needed reminding of its manners and schooling. She put it on sales livery with her old instructor thinking she was doing the best for the horse, She paid a...
Nfu, can't fault them. I have had several claims over the years the most recent was a saddle stolen and they paid out within 10 days of me making the claim.
I do if I let myself. I tend to just get on and keep myself busy then I don't think about it however if I stop for a coffee I have chance to think about it I do get scared.
My friends horse has arthritis and she was advised to keep the horse restricted work. The vet said the worse thing you can do is stop the work the horse will just get stiffer and in more pain. It looks cruel but is part of her treatment plan along with steroid injections.
