I had a coloured horse that I used to show so I used Red Rum shampoo for grey horses, and it brought the black up beautifully and then gave it a bluey tinge not browny! Got to be worth a try.

My boy starts itching his nose every spring as well, especially if we ride near trees! I am trying him on Clarity from Feedmark and this has helped no end. I also take off his flash and that seems to help. Good luck
