    Help choosing dog breed

Thank you all so much for your help. Unfortunately Covid has hit my partners job, so we will have to put off our dog search for a bit. I’ll be back soon though to ask for more advise I’m sure!!!

Thank you- do you not fall over them when they are sleeping? I worry about space for dog beds!

    Help choosing dog breed

Thank you birth- ideally id like a German shepherd or a golden retriever, but I feel like I would fall over it all the time with the lack of space! I also worry it’s a bit unfair on the dog, especially overnight.

    Help choosing dog breed

Hello I’m sure there are millions of threads like this- but I wondered if anyone could give me some advise for the best dog breed for my situation? My first choice would always be to rescue, and I have lots of rescue pets, however I do feel like for my first dog it might be nice to start with...

Keeping riding clothes in the car...

Appreciate this is a strange one but sure I’m not the only one with this problem! I regularly go to the yard straight from work, or from shopping etc. Because of this I keep my boots, hat, and waterproofs in the car. I’ve just got back today, and I’m trying to dry my coat and waterproof...

A Day In The Life Of A Work Rider - Zoomies, Pants and Splats!

I think when you work in racing, it’s usual for your size/weight to be public knowledge, and discussed regularly, often in front of you. I have been weighed in front of a yard full of lads before, with everyone making comments on how overweight I was (9 stone, 5 foot 7), and have had an owner...

Celiac disease/gluten free and keeping horses? Straw??

I have coeliac disease, I’ve been gluten free for about 10 years now! I’ve never had an issue with hay, straw etc as with coeliac disease you only have a reaction if you eat it☺️I’m not sure how similar your condition is, but you could try wearing a dust mask if you’re really worried? But...

Is anyone knowledgeable about Spanish horses?

Thank you all! Very helpful! @shortstuff99 the site didn’t bring anything up but I’m not sure it’s her original name on the passport so that may by why! It’s all very interesting, I’ve been riding her out for a friend who has her in to sell, and I get on very well with her- having never ridden...

Is anyone knowledgeable about Spanish horses?

Just that really! Does anyone know a bit about Spanish horses? And can tell me what this means? I’m guessing it’s a brand of the stud the mare comes from? Thank you

Horse for sale, vetting prospective buyers

I’ve only sold two horses, and had one very good and one bad experience. The bad experience- I sold the horse to a very well know local person, had loads of good reviews about him from other people I knew, and I went to a local event to watch both him (and his partner who he brought the horse...

And thank you @Trouper, I think it’s definitely important to find someone like that, I’m very lucky I have a couple of close friends who are very experienced who will be able to help me☺️ I have told myself that for 6 months minimum I will put my...
