Thanks, Tony is very local to us, he's out every Saturday and he actually taught me at pony club. That is definitely a possibility! Thank you.

Richard Maxwell, Gary Witheford, Michael Peace,Tim Piper? Has anyone used any of the above? How successful was it? What was the problem with the horse? How long did the results last? How much did it cost? I have a problem with a large, 9 year old, ISH, gelding hunter. He is fantastic...

    Problem horse

The lady on the yard generally hacks out all the horses alone. There are not enough people permanently around to ensure that he can hack out in a group. Plus, those who have hacked out with him are wary being on a horse next to him as he is a lot bigger than they are. She can lead him out but...

    Problem horse

He is based near Tetbury in Gloucestershire. I have asked around but no one knows anything about natural horsemanship clinic's/retraining. The options that are thrown up are very experienced but essentially old fashioned tough riding, hunting and eventing types.

Hacking from the yard he will be impossibly nappy from time to time. So much so, that i have been asked to move him to another stable. Has any one used...

    Hoof Abscess

Thank you for your replies. It's seriously useful to get a better idea on these things as fortunately none of our horses have had abscess' and i just don't know anything about them. I have actually tried him out hunting once already and he went very well all day. Although, someone who had...

    Hoof Abscess

One of the horses i am looking to buy currently has a hoof abscess. As far as i can see, in general terms, these are caused by infections brought on by dirt getting through cracks in the hoof, cuts, flaring etc. Most seem avoidable with a little luck and a good farrier... However, does any...
