    Vet requesting payment in advance?!

£90 us very reasonable, ours are now about £150 before 10pm and after 10pm it goes up to about £250. That's vetpartners for you!

    Vet requesting payment in advance?!

Whilst I totally agree that vets have a difficult job and so do reception staff, you have to also realise that moving work calls is not as simple as it seems. How do you think a client is going to react, if you move the call at short notice, particularly for an animal? I can tell you with some...

Hip Fracture following a fall from horse and recovery expectations afterwards

I had a hip fracture in April, broke straight across the trochanter, so the bit below the femoral head. I was on the common and after managing to get to my hands and knees, I quickly realised there was no way I was getting up. I had surgery and pins put in place to hold it together. Nearly 7...

    Air vest in winter

Can you not just wear over the top of a coat? Interested as considering buying one.

    Vet Monopolies

Do you not think other professions are the same?! I work long hours too, working 2-3 hrs a day extra is pretty standard for a lot of people, there are times when we are working into the early hours of the morning and we work weekends! So whilst I appreciate what you do is demanding, vets are not...

    Vet Monopolies

Agree that they will just claw back the money in other ways. Our equine vets are VetPartners. I have noticed big changes since becoming corporate. Out of hours call out fees have gone up massively and there is now an extra "emergency' call out fee even during the normal working day! Now, if you...

    Agria Insurance

I went for 10k as that would cover a colic op.

What do you wear on your feet?

Waterproof walking shoes (not boots) From decathlon, cheap and last well. I don't know what I will wear when the gateways are underwater though, wellies don't help my achilles problem.

    Broken Fibula

Yes agree. I had a hip fracture in April, it required surgery with the bones being nailed together, so slightly different to you. At 6 weeks there was no sign of the bone knitting together, at 10 weeks there was some sign in one small area and I have fingers crossed for more progress at the next...

Yet another delightful rider..... not..... when will this end?

It's totally disgusting, all they care about is winning and the money. The horse is just an expendable object.

    Harvey Smith

Wasn't he banned for cruelty at one point? I seem to remember he wasn't very nice to his horses!

Blood results am I being unreasonble

Seems to be common now. The vets say they will call you and then never do. This was never the case prior to being Vet Partners, the difference in approach is very noticeable and unfortunately it's not for the better.

    Agria Insurance

Yes it is a gamble and you can be sure that as soon as you don't insure, something will happen!
