Hello all,
I have just been offered a neighbours 3-acre field to graze. Only issue is that it was previously used as a ‘doggy day care’ facility for around 10 dogs for 3 months, up until November last year (no dogs since).
I don’t know if it was cleared of dog poo while they were using it, but...
My horses are usually out 24/7, supplemented with a net or two haylage every night, which is usually mostly eaten by morning.
With the recent storms, they’ve had to come in overnight to their lovely clean, warm stables.
And here’s where my 9yo starts becoming a worry.
He likes to come in, he’s...
I had a dressage Wow for my Belgian WB. I loved it, as did he. When he retired, I had it fitted to my young WB, and whilst it wasn't bad, we both didn't find it right and ended up selling it on.
Very much a love/hate kind of saddle and I would definitely recommend trying before you buy!
I have two WB's and adore them both.

- Can be spooky, but not in a dangerous way
- Clever
- Extremely kind
- Moves well, jumps better
- Will let beginners ride him

I'm facing the inevitable and tackling the winter clipping this weekend.
Despite lots of grooming, my horse is a little greasier and hairier than usual.
Aside from giving him a full bath, what is the best potion for hot clothing to strip back the grease before I blunt my blades?
For the last two years, towards mid/late September, my usually mellow WB becomes a bit of a spooky wuss. He's still turned out 24/7, but will often have his eyes out on stalks looking at invisible monsters in the bushes. I've put him on various gut balancers, but it seems to be more...
My near 30yo is mainly retired through arthritis, not spirit! I occasionally hop on him bareback for a little ride and often box him up for walks on the beach. It's great for them to 'keep going' even if it's the bare minimum!
