Why would him being a transient make him anymore suitable for release than a resident/offshore animal? I would think that age at capture would be more significant, with the older the animal the more experienced it would be.
IMHO, it would be a mistake to release him. If we hadn't thrown...
If you have a coloured, then I can thoroughly recommend the dirty beastie shampoo and the fairy liquid methods mentioned above! I know exactly how you feel, my coloured seems to enjoy using his poo as a pillow during the night, cue a huuuuuge sh*t-stain on his cheek the next morning!

I met her once at a dinner and she really was lovely. Asked about my eventing and seemed to genuinely be interested. :] Gave me some good advice too, enjoy yourself!
Maybe it's simply quicker and easier to find a horse with a plait, than to compare every animal in the field to a small and poor quality (maybe) photo on a mobile phone?
I've always done it all myself, taking the view that I have absolutely no prior knowledge of the horse and being around it on the ground beforehand helps this out a bit. But I guess it depends, ask her and see what she says!
Actual: A new show-jacket that actually fits me! I look like I'm riding around in a bin-bag with buttons on it at the moment. :O
Fantasy: A cheque big enough to buy me the horse I'm currently loaning!

I can see what you mean about perhaps some people being put off, but he's a lovely looking creature and tbh if I was coming to look at him I would appreciate the honesty...
What is the correct latin name for the domestic horse? I'm writing my dissertation and need to know, so all opinions would be appreciated!
Is it simply Equus caballus ? I've seen it listed in journals as Equus ferus caballus, but as 'ferus' is the latin root for the word 'feral' surely this...
How weird! When I went to Trailblazers there was never more than eight people in the class. But ditto to the above, although I didn't find it any different to normal sjing classes.
Have seen that video before, it's not pleasant.
I'm sure the stallion is doing the foal a 'favour' although it probably didn't intend to. It'd be interesting to know whether the foal was sired by the stallion or not. If not it's a case of infanticide to remove any offspring competing with his own.
