Hi I am intending to take my horse plus two ponies SJ at Arena UK on saturday. How much are the classes and do you have to join anything? I need to know as Im taking two teenage girls and there ponies and need to be prepared ( I must be mad!! ) also how many are usually in a class? Sorry I have never been before!!

LoL! The clases are either £10 or £12 a go (depends on venue, I think its 10+ first aid at Arena). You don;t have to join anything. Arena varies to how busy it is, and never been in the morning for the pony classes, so not sure... when we went to Poskitts (MANY years ago!!) with G and Bob, that was traiblazers

Don't know about your venue, but in my experience don't expect any less than about 40 in the a class and don't be surprised at 60!! I think you'll have a long day..... I don't think you need to join Trailblazers for first rounds but if you qualify for 2nd rounds, (1st to 4th if memory serves me properly), then you might need to join for the 2nd rounds. It might all have changed since I last did trailblazers about 5 years ago tho!

Edited to say - why not ring the venue and ask them what size the classes are usually??

How weird! When I went to Trailblazers there was never more than eight people in the class. But ditto to the above, although I didn't find it any different to normal sjing classes.

Classes are usually £10-12 for trailblazers as arena uk, and no you dont need to join for 1st rounds. BUT if you get a double clear in your class, you will qualify for 2nd rounds (and therefore will need to join if you want to compete in 2nd rounds, it is £12 to get your qualification card)

Arena uk completley varies class size-wise...erm, usually when i go to trailblazers at arena uk there are between 20 and 40 in the classes...but could be busier...completley depends

lol...

its a lovely arena, i really love it. nice big arena with lovely surface, nice collecting arena with private stalls to tie your horses up in, and a seperate warm up which is quite a decent size and again nice surfaces (all indoors so doesnt matter what the weather is like!) the carpark CAN get a bit cramped...but my mum can cope with our big lorry, so it is usually totally ok

it is a well drained car park too, nice hard standing
