I'm sorry, you're both right and I have not/ will not try to contact him. I was just frustrated by time wasters having been told he was for sale, driven there and tried him for a week then told he was not for sale by email not even a phone call. But I see I am now in the wrong and apologize.

Don't take a break- you will get there but its just important not to get fed up and just get one you are not sure of as that will cause more hassle and heartbreak when it goes wrong. It took my mum and I almost a year to find the perfect pony (I was 9 at the time so a year felt like a lifetime)...
