Hi I am thinking of giving up riding, my problem is what to do with my pony. I really don't want to sell him as he can be a bit challenging and I think he will end up being passed around, ( I also love him to bits, even if he is a pain in the backside!) I'm also not keen on loaning him out...
Carlosmum yes I always wear a Racesafe now! he's got a short neck and when he canters he goes completely flat so if he decides to do something I have nowhere to go!! Saddle with better rolls is a good idea I might look into that as well. Yes I am 56 and my family are not impressed with my...
Thank you Ponyclubmumz ! I Think I will get one but like Mahoganybay and others have said I'm definitely going to get a good instructor and work more on my seat!

A Furminator that I also use on my dogs its brilliant for when he's losing his winter coat and it comes up lovely and shiny too! My pony could stand all day having this done - he loves it!
Oh sorry to hear about your injuries - vmac66 yes dismounting is the worst bit! Glad you've healed up now, FfionWinnie its hard not to do anything isn't it? my job is very physical, I'm self employed so can't go off sick just have to grin and bear it! Yes this is what I'm worried about doing...
So a couple of weeks ago I was just riding into my field when one of the other ponies took off with mine in hot pursuit! he did a big buck and I went flying landing on some very hard ground. I was in a lot of pain but went home instead of going to A & E because I didn't think it was anything...
Thanks for your replies - yes enfys he puts his head down to the ground when I put the reins over his neck then when I try to put the bridle on he puts his head up high, a friend on the yard tried to do it for me and he did the same thing with her - laura-nash when I first had him 6 months ago...
My NF pony likes to try it on with me in various ways ! - his latest trick is not letting me put his bridle on. It is taking me ages to get it on him and I dread going out at the moment as it takes forever to get tacked up. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get him out of this...
