    Looking for opinions

I have seen horses who behave badly with their owners when the owner doesn't ride well. I remember one particular horse whose owner kept far too tight a rein and the poor horse got horribly frustrated and would try and buck her off. (Hard not to be sympathetic to the horse in these...

Rugs that will fit a heavy weight cob

Thanks for all this help. I would love to see a piccie of him in his rug - he looks gorgeous. Am deeply envious of the mane - my boy has sweet itch and this last summer he got bitten and I made the decision to cut off his mane so I could treat the bites. Normally his Boett rug (which also...

Rugs that will fit a heavy weight cob

Thanks Cinnamon Toast. Your boy looks lovely but less sturdy (and less fat :) than my boy. It looks like a nice rug but I just wonder if it would fit my differently shaped boy

Rugs that will fit a heavy weight cob

Thanks for this. I have found Mark Todd lightweight combos for £60 on ebay so just about doable for me. Is your horse a heavyweight? The chest on some rugs won't even close properly on my horse

Rugs that will fit a heavy weight cob

Can anyone recommend a light weight turn out rug with a high or half neck that will fit a heavyweight cob? I seem to have a fitting problem with every rug we have tried. Most common problems are rubbing on the neck and mane with standard neck rugs because they seem to be madedesigned with a TB...

    Suggestions for a turnout rug

Thanks for this suggestion. I couldn't quite make out if it has buckles on the neck so I have emailed them for that info. Am trying to avoid fiddly fastenings as have arthritis in my hands

    Suggestions for a turnout rug

I help with a friend's horse whose rug has neck buckles. They make me swear. Horribly. My hands are just not very mobile in the cold

    Kicking horse

A new horse has come to our small livery and he kicks. Not just other horses but humans too. I think he is just young and brash. How would you train this out of a horse?

    Suggestions for a turnout rug

Thank you Faracat. It looks good but no leg straps! Is this safe for a turnout rug? My horse is a keen roller and I worry about him getting into bother and ripping the rug to pieces in the process And thank you Nativepony lover but don't worry about trying to get a photo of the front as this...

    Suggestions for a turnout rug

Can anyone recommend a no-fill, turn-out combo rug with quick release chest straps and a neck that hasn't got fiddly buckles? Arthritis and an impatient horse are making rug changes such a chore!

    Sweetitch

Hi - I would be really interested to know more about your experience of the capsules. My cob has sweet itch and lives out in his Boett rug during the summer. I have been thinking of trying him on the capsules but would only do this if I thought I wouldn't have to rug him.

    lazy walker

Is there any difference in his movement when he is not saddled but warmed up for example during lunging? If so it might be that the saddle doesn't fit properly. If you are sure that it does I agree with noblesteed about the exercises but would add some pole work too. My very lazy cob likes...
