I would like to go xc schooling at some point in the next month and although most courses round here are open a lot of the ground leaves a lot to be desired. The closest to me would be Great Westwood but I've heard the ground is boggy and as I would be going on a horse I share not own I dont...
I once emailed approx 100 clients in the run up to a outdoor county show after a week of rain saying they best all get their willies out. It was supposed to say wellies...!
Yes I know lots! ... though I moved from the area last year, now in Kent so things might have changed
Fullers Hill does DIY / Assisted though I hear everyone is jumping ship due to new turnout rules.
Pednor.. where they do the rug washing / feed place do DIY.
Haresfoot over towards...
oh no that sucks! I think they have an entry only ticket for not that much for saturday but it doesnt include a seat and standing area is "limited" according to their website so guessing it will fill quickly. Still might be worth it.
She rides twice a week mostly.
Thanks Gingerwitch - I had been thinking this. He does occaisionally get ridden twice a day, normally on a day where RI rides him owner will hack. I think I am like you say quite nambypamby in my approach and just worried as he is a youngster that it is too...
She rides him the same amount as I do. I too felt like it should come out of her rides not mine. I know she is keen for me to carry on having lessons (as am I) but I might say that I dont really see the point at the moment as its a waste of money on my part when I dont get to actually practice...
YES! My first mare was a nutter - or well was just so not suited to me! She destroyed my confidence and I should have sold her when my instructor first told me to.
Fast forward 10 years and I've got my boy back off loan and have zero confidence in my ability and especially jumping. My RI...
I'll try and be brief... I was looking for a loan or share at the beginning of summer and a lady I knew was looking to buy but knew she'd need a sharer. We looked at a few horses and she bought one, I share him. Ideal situation really for me as it was at my yard and is a lovely horse who I now...
good idea, I will say it like that - and yes she does ride so she'll notice a difference. She has bulk bought a whole winter feeding system which I feel isnt a great idea as you should try him out on something before you commit to a 6 month supply
Littlelegs - I think you missed...
So a couple days ago the owner of the horse I part loan said once this lot of feed runs out she'll be switching to a higher energy complete feed to it as she figures we cant carry on feeding 'nothing' throughout winter.
She has an Arab who she has owned for 10 years and gets a huge feed and...
charnwood milling is the cheapest place to buy it in bulk. simple systems do one but they charge loooooads more for a much smaller amount. Our horses coat feels like he has just been bathed its so shiny.
Agree with some of the other posts on here that she looks like she is lacking a little all over and could do with a bit of a health kick.
I had to double check she wasnt my old mare as she looks just like her!
I have a TB who arrived in a worse state earlier in the year, it is possible...
