Danilon and charcoal - ulcer treatment alternatives.

Hello, Some of you may remember me from a kissing spine story. My horse had the traditional op in Jan 2013 and his back is a huge success. He is now a pleasure to ride and works beautifully. A spanner has been put in the works and he is not sound infront now. I noticed it whilst hacking...

Little rubs and scars - showing.

I did a hunter trial on sunday and put show shine under my breastplate fluffy bits. They rub him quite a bit. Nothings raw or bald, just a different colour to the rest of his coat! I've been using a hair regrowth keratin based product daily too.

Little rubs and scars - showing.

Horse is covered in little rub marks. Not bald, but not the same colour as the rest of his coat. nothing is ill fitting, mainly from breastplate, reins, and unfortunately my lower leg. I am not a nagging rider, he is forward and off my leg, but everything seems to be rubbing him this year...

    Kissing spines Op. Thoughts?

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to my thread! I rudely didnt reply back then, clearly in a state of panic! We are now just over a year post op and he's doing very well. I had my first sit on in late May and managed a dressage comp in July (which we won with very positive scores!)...

    TB Kissing Spines dilemma..........

Hello :) canter would probably be the most painful gait because of the pressure to engage behind. My lad used to go disunited an awful lot as well as rearing and napping. I wasn't sure either based on your post whether you had tried the injection or not...and would be interested as to why the...

    Bloated, breathing fast and burping?!

I have always been under the impression that horses can't burp. But when my horse comes off good pasture, he looks like hes going to drop a foal in the next week as well as his breathing rate increasing! Pooing, eating and drinking fine. Not dull in himself.. What could this be?

Thank you very much for all your thoughts. Feeling a little bit more positive about it all now! Spoken to his old owner who is also a best friend and she believes I should give him a second chance to be happy. I've had him for 6 years so almost feel as though I owe it to him to start again and...
