Hi. I am starting at Sussex University this September. I am looking for a livery yard nearby to keep my 2 horses at, ideally on full livery. I cannot take a car so I need to be able to get there using public transport on weekends. Does anyone know of any suitable yards nearby? :) Shelley
Lots of people I know have said that horses can quickly pick up and learn different and new things - some horses quicker than others etc. I know horses just as easily can pick up bad habits also. So, not sure if there is a time limit or anything, but as a rule of thumb how long would you say it...
Me again! To get them to drink - chop some apples in there water and they may be encouraged to 'apple bob' - will get them to drink a little water. Also, I would make sure their feeds are quite wet - more moisture! Also, stick some electrolyte in their feeds :)
Hi. Had a look at other post and I'm afraid I'm not of much help, but I also think you should have a second opinion. The vet you had may be stumped, but a different vet may have seen something similar just the other week. You'll have to find out what it is, or what's caused it one way or...

Hey. For coloured classes I would wear tweed jacket and just a plain havanna bridle - no colours or diamonte!! For ridden horse etc I would say maybe red and navy, or maybe dark green and gold? Anything that looks pretty! ;)
Hi. Sounds like glands to me - may have eaten something in the field or in his hay etc. Often from eating buttercups. When my guys glands' come up they usually go down by the morning. If I was you would see if it has gone down by the morning and if not, then would probably get it checked out...
Hi. I'm no vet but doesn't sound like tying up to me. I would think more a bruise or strain - a few days rest should sort. A pony at my yard tied up severly but her whole back end clamped and she could hardly walk. Also, tying up is caused by feeding concentrates when the horse isn't being...
Hi everyone - I'm new! Hoping someone can help me. I've got a new horse who is KWPN with high withers. I'm looking for a jumping saddle, if anyone can recommend one for me? I need a 17.5" due to my long legs and I think he is around a medium wide :)
