    BSJA for dummy parents!

Morning all. I have a 12 year old daughter who is desperate to do BS. She is currently in PC and also competes unaffiliated and is jumping successfully at around 90cm. Her pony already has a good BS record (not with us) and I believe that will dictate which classes she is able to do but...

Suspected uveitis with ongoing issues and growing vet bill.

Thank you everyone, this is been quite reassuring, glad that posted. Definitely think we will invest in the halo, our vet did say the only thing with fly masks was the risk to them touching her eye (understand there and some that are better quality, more structured and less likely of this...

Suspected uveitis with ongoing issues and growing vet bill.

Thank everyone, I had considered a a posh fly mask with UV protection but those guardian masks looks amazing and while did have a sharp intake of breath on first seeing the price definitely cheaper than continuous vet appointments! Interestingly the vet has always used an antibiotic jab as a...

Suspected uveitis with ongoing issues and growing vet bill.

I wondered if anyone has been through similar and has either found a solution or anything that helps. Will try and keep this short. Back in November our pony’s right eye became quite swollen and watery and apon inspection was very red. Between now and then we have had 8+ vet visits with the...

Hi all, looking for some advice on our new pony’s passport. We bought a fabulous pony a few months ago which is going great, the old owner passed on insurance, vet details, vaccine vials but couldn’t find the passport and knocked a bit of the price so we could sort ourselves, looked fairly...

    Bit for strong tucking pony.

First time posting in a long time so forgive me if I put this in the wrong place. We have just bought a new SJ’ing pony for my daughter who we have had her a month and is absolutely wonderful. She is however fast and strong and particularly buzzy when the poles come out (more so in training...

    First show help!!

You are right we absoloutly had a fab day and as pony previously was a very bad loader, getting ourselves there on time, not forgetting anything and bringing kiddies home with rosettes was a brilliant feeling... We have been suggested to try a Waterford so might do a little bit of research on them.

    First show help!!

I did look at the schedule afterwards but it didn't have anything specified as to any do's and donts everything was worded in a very "laid back" and casual approach show i.e. all classes could be assisted, shouted out, cantering very optional...which I didn't think it would be a problem. We did...
