Any thoughts?
Mare we have on loan has travelled 3x ok, on her own in the trailer, all sorts of roads. Last weekend went to take her out and she was restless in the trailer for a couple of miles, this escalated to banging and kicking, so we stopped to turn round - checked she was fine, no...
Well what a morning! Instructor came out, did my pony put a foot wrong?? No of course he didn't!!!! Arrggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We only have a little 20x20 square to work in and he was cantering round there just fine...... He was a bit of a stubborn grump to get going but my instructor...
Just watched as brilliant but long set of DVDs by Norm Glenn from About Australia Horsemanship called "Horse loading".
You watch him load three bad loaders from start to finish - and they all start with ground work - in the end he has the horses loading themselves whilst he sits on one of the...
Poor you, it is a shame the physio didn't work.
Long reining could help as well as the Pessoa.
Isn't there surgery that can be done? Would you consider it? Has the vet suggested it?
Peaches and oranges today - v good a spitting out the stones.

thanks all - so much to look at and so many questions from me still!
hmmmmmm - i could be brave enough to ride bareback..... do you think a bareback pad would be ok or should i just go for it? I guess riding bareback would let me know if it is the saddle or not. Then maybe i could look at a...
Hey that's fab, good to hear he is back in work. I wonder? I was recommended to get injections into the joint if he showed any signs of problems... have you had similar done? (well, as well as the many other things too). Bruce (ponies name) never showed any signs of lameness, and trotted away...
Thanks for all ur prompt replies.
Got my instructor coming out tomorrow to work with him. His flat work is ok quite bidable in walk and trot but becomes very hollow in canter. On the lunge, he does buck occasionally but not like he does under saddle. Never free schooled him or ridden him...
i use one of these, does the trick, stops flys in eyes and ears. Pony doesn't manage to get it off either.
