    tooth paste

Hello all. I've been blessed with dogs who have good teeth in the past, however my little rescue border collie has dreadful teeth, and they're starting to go brown. Vet has suggested cleaning them so can anyone recommend a good doggie tooth paste. Thanks!

    Cushings anyone?

Like others my boy threw a few negative tests first although looked very cushings and had to grade lami Responding well too half a tablet now and his levels are well below the threshold. He is managed on very poor grazing, soaked hay and some high fibre low sugar feed, and remains in regular...

Legs filling in stable on box rest, bandages or stable wraps?

I use magnetic leg wraps, my boys legs hardly fill, although only in over night, when he doesn't have them on his legs puff up. Noticeable difference with the wraps.

Did flyball and obedience with my last BC but this boy has not ball drive, but is loving agility, we are doing obedience too. I think the agility however has really helped socialise him and get a...

    Ratting behaviour in border collies

Does anyone else have a BC that displays ratting behaviour? My little rescue has come on in leaps and bounds quite literally. With his new found confidence and knowledge of the world has come some behaviours I wouldn’t associate with collies and my old collie certainly never :) He stalks...

New dog; has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks everyone, i have to say compared to my old BC who was literally a bag of nerves when we got him at 3yrs and would bolt even if you coughed or sneezed, this lil lad is not half as bad. We got there after a few years with the old boy, turned him into a very confident boy, who enjoyed his...

New dog; has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks guys, all makes for interesting reading and thinking! Do you think its ok to allow the behaviour to continue or could it lead to separation issues/anxiety/possession etc. He was with me for about 2/3 hours continually before the sock and toy instances. We had had a walk, food, done...

New dog; has anyone else experienced this?

After losing my old boy a few weeks ago, I rescued a 14 month old border collie from a rescue centre about 2 weeks ago. No history, but he is very affectionate and well behaved so far and a pleasure to own and train (only basic heal, wait and sit etc at the moment). He is very bright and wants...
