Hi, have you though about having tested to give you a better idea - thankfully i did when my farmer delivered different hay to what i usually have and it was soo high in sugars ( 13%) that i had to take all the bales back !!!!!!!

Hi, have you checked if you can feel an increased pulse? Also if your hay is getting frozen when soaked that can be a problem, hope its not lammi x

Hi,do i assume if a horse / pony has hole in hoof wall so the inside of the hoof is exposed then if turned out in snow that would be an even greater risk????
