    Glandular Ulcers

Thank you so much for your reply SEL. The meds she is on are sucrabest 11 tablets, 3 times a day and cytotec 14 tabs, twice a day. I'm to crush them up and put in her food or mix in some apple sauce and syringe them in. She's taken them fine in her food tho so far. I feel terrible that I...

    Glandular Ulcers

At the mo she's having formula for feet, oat bran, micronised linseed, brewers yeast, pumpkin seeds, fenugreek, and magic. The vet has advised me to add alfalfa to promote more chewing. And veg oil. I'd like to take her feed right back to basics tho. Maybe just alfalfa, linseed and f4f...

    Glandular Ulcers

My mare has been diagnosed with glandular ulcers. She's spent the night at the vets, was scoped this morning and I picked her up this evening. She's got 2 different drugs to take for the next 28 days and then the vet will see her again I've been told to add an unmollasses Alfa to her...

    HHO I need you

Brilliant. Fantastic cause. I was going to sign up for this with my mare and was really excited to get going, but I broke my flipping knee 6 weeks ago... surgeon has said it will be some time before I'm back in the saddle :( Good luck! Xx

Gel out seat savers - Has anyone tried one?

I've got one. Blinking love it. I only hack and it's perfect. My horse has the odd spook and it keeps me well in my saddle :) If you have a very tall horse, (I'm 5'2 and my horse I'd 16.1hh) it can be a bit tricky to get off as it grabs you as you slide down :) but it's worth it in my opinion x

REVIEW YOUR YEAR: How was your 2016 in horses?

Mine has been totally up and down! Bought my very first horse and have enjoyed getting to know her and everything horse related. Even the mud and rain! Love her to bits. 5 weeks ago broke my knee, jumped off my friends horse and my knee just broke, major surgery to mend it and I'm now slowly...

    falls

I came off my mare bout 6-7 weeks ago afther she put in a massive very excited buck in the stubble fields. Other than a cracking bruise and a cut lip I was fine. On Thursday I was riding my daughters pony on a hack. He was being silly in the road so I got off, just that normal action of getting...

    Best seat saver for hacking?

Yes it's very soft. It's made from a kind of silicon material, it's about an 1/2 an inch thick. Lovely and comfy. My behind has never been sore using it and all I really do is hacking, about an hour to 2 hours a day usually. Hold you in very well too. My horse spooked sideways the other day and...

    Best seat saver for hacking?

I have the acavallo gel out one. It's brilliant, holds you in a nice position and you stick to it really well should the horse spook etc Very highly recommended :) http://www.horsehealth.co.uk/equipment/gel/gel-seat-savers

    New little spaniel

Picked this little lady up last night. Looking forward to some long walks when she's older and snuggling on the sofa. She's still settling in and is the quietest puppy I have ever met! She does play etc but really likes to sleep! She's 8 weeks and called Phoebe, or 'pheebs' for short <3...

    Round hay bale

Mine usually lasts me between 31/2-4 weeks, 2 large hay nets a day. Think they are roughly the equivalent of 12 normal sized bales of hay.

From what I've seen they generally come in one size, I'm hoping they will be big enough. I'll keep you posted!
