About 2 weeks ago I went to get in my horse, only to notice she was hopping lame (virtually on 3 legs), so obviously got the vet out, the vet said she was nearly 100% sure it was an abscess, so poulticed it, and told me to redo the poultice 2 times a day, and let her know how it went.
After 2...
It sounds like he may be 'plaiting'! I once worked with a horse who did this, the owner had a chiropractor out on a regular basis to him and it improved dramatically!
I have seen them at YHL this year, and they seemed like they would be really protective, but not get too hot underneath? I would have them if I could afford it!
Thanks for the help, no thanks for the slagging off. I was asking for advice, being only 18 and my horse is the first fine type I have had, and I would not have expected this type of response.
1) not a troll, thanks.
2) she isnt too hot under her rugs
3) I am used to feeding cobs etc
4) and I was asking for help and advice, not to be told I am treating her cruely, as this is not the case.
Thank you all anyway.
She has on a 425g stable rug and a rhino full neck medium weight turnout over it! She has been wormed and the teeth are in the pipeline! Will probably book them in today!
She was on a scoop of sugar beet, and half a scoop of soaked calm and condition twice a day, but now on nothing as i am hoping that natures best will work!
