Interested to hear how other people bring on their youngsters. I have a four year old, very immature looking cob who had been lightly lunged, tacked up and had someone sat on him before we got him.
When i say training, I don't mean intensive workouts, I mean what do you do each day, how many...
Hi all,
Many thanks for your input.
Regarding the wage, I have had a secret snoop of the going wages in the area I am based in, all the other riding schools are also paying £10 per hour! :(
One offered me £12 per hour but that was because I was travelling in from an hour away! :(
Oh dear...
I have had a member of staff leave and am looking for a qualified instructor for 4 hours on a saturday and 4 hours on a sunday.
I am happy for for a job share and have advertised at all the local tack shops and on facebook, I have had barely a sniff of interest! :(

Please check she doesnt have a uti? From personal experience these are awful and also dont always show up in a urine sample.
Feed here a raw diet which keeps the body at the correct ph level so that if she has an irritated bladder for whatever reason the feed is not contributing to it. I bet...
Perhaps you are right, he is very stressy. Its just when i ride him,i feel like ive gone home. All my relearning of classical stuff has been on him. i know i can use it on other horses - for some reason in my mind i have linked my riding career and success to this little horse. Somewhere deep...

Thanks for your replies. I am actually sitting here close to tears on this just not knowing what to do.

Sorry, I didnt explain entirely well. I am worried that by moving him to a new area with lots more trees/pollens/things to be allergic too, that he will start headshaking due to one of these reasons as we will be alot closer to more potential allergens.
Current yard is a small private yard with only my horse and owners horse. I get to manage my horses grazing as needed, ie restricted in summer to manage weight and out with other horse in winter.
This has been working well and we have been there for the last three years. However, just...

What discount do you get on rent? % or amount in £££
Things that are paid by you and things that are covered in your working livery.
Do you get free lessons thrown in? If so how...
Horse had an allergic reaction to a particular bedding four or more years ago now and came out in hugely elevated breathing and all manner of snot and gunk coming out of the airways.
Fast forward to now and it has gradually left him with some sensitivities, ie cant be stabled and has to have...
