I lunged my 2 two year old filly today and noticed that she seems to be stiff in the right shoulder, and more so on the right rein especially when trotting. the ground in the lunge pen is soft and she was going round in 20m circles.
I was just looking for some advice before I go...
My girl is called Bella. It's Italian for beautiful, which she is. People on the yard call her the ginger ninja, because from 8 months old she's been able to jump all the paddock fences!
My sister calls them coats, she also wanted to buy a numnah "to keep her belly warm" and the best one "why on earth do horses need leg warmers" - they were brushing boots :rolleyes:
I've used it to hack out on her horse and it's incredibly comfortable, she has a GP fitted leather one that she paid about £1300 for to use for shows but whenever we go out she always uses her treeless, I think she's on her 2nd one now!
My friend used one of these to break her horse, recommended to her by a vet that used one on her horse

I'm going to take her out in hand at the weekend, we have a lovely track that runs along the back of our yard and out down to the river. I've not done too much with her for the last two weeks as I wanted to leave her to settle in, but nothing seems to phase her apart from leaving one of the boys...

I have just recently brought a 2 year old (she'll be three in August). Her previous owners have done what seems a pretty good job on the ground work, she has already been tacked up and will happily take a bit. I have no intention of backing her until next summer as she's in the middle of...
