£10000 to spend on horse and tack ? what do u think?

Yes, but I guess we should define novice in this instance...

Fox is a Novice class...if you are a pro and jumping this and higher day in, day out. BUT, a horse jumping 1.20's can also be an experienced horse

To be honest, most pro's could get most horses (not all) around at least a NC and probably a Fox. A lot of amateurs could prevent a good 1.20 horse from going round a BN

The last 3 horses I bought all had a Newcomers DC as the first thing on their print out - Olympic was even jumping Foxs and 1.25s when he had less than £50 on his card, but they were all bought out by Pros. So I think it comes down to how brave you are and how much jump the horse has. The places that I jump the Fox tends to be the same course as the BN but just higher. They never move the distances or lines between fences, they might just turn a fence around.
