£18.60 to cross Severn bridge!!!

So it cost me £18.60 yesterday to cross the Severn bridge! My horsebox is only a two horse the size of a van.

When I researched what folks had payed to take boxes across, it seemed most if not all who replied payed the car rate.

What have you really been charged?

It rather bizarrely depends on whether you have permanent living or not.

Something to do with the agreement that was written when the bridge was built....

If you have living (and again I'm not 100% sure what qualifies as permanent living) then you only pay the car rate. Otherwise it's more.

You need a sink and a fridge, or that's what they checked my lorry for before they agreed to let me pay the £6.20

They were happy with mine which has asink and a hob. No fridge in mine.....
