£260 - £320 Pm for DIY Livery?!

Must admit my diy comes to around £200 - 250 a month but the yard has good facilities and mainly a full livery yard so all those things that you may have to do at DIY such as poo pick etc are done. It is a bit expensive but the cheaper DIY yards round here are fairly poor.

I enquired at a friend's yard, once, about 4 years ago, as I loved the look of it. One small outdoor sandschool was the limit of the facilities. The price?

£350 a month. For 'full grass' livery. Food was given in the field. No stable included. Needless to say, I didn't go.

I'd agree it was way OTT... I pay £104 per calendar month, gorgeous yard, all post & rail fencing, turn out in groups, nice outdoor floodlit menage - (which DRAINS!!!!) decent pens to keep hay & your stuff, hot water etc. No extras we can pay for such as turn out, bringing in for vet etc, but people always there, and never once heard of anyone not being able to ask someone else for a favour, so I think I pay about right...?

You are literally just down the road from Little Mattingley which has literally LOADS of yards, great hacking, many have indoor and outdoor schools and come nowhere near £260!!!
Have a look in Eileen Douglas in Eversley, I bet there are loads on the boards there too! Hartney Witney is a good place to look as well as Dogmersfield (all are bordering villages to Hook).
There is also a tack sale at the village hall in Hartney Witney this Sunday, so might be worth asking there!
