£45.00 for round bale hay?

In Kent, near Dartford, large round bales £45 each delivered. Small bales £5.25 collected (Speedgate). Old hay is very short, those that have it can charge a lot for it.
No point in saying how cheap it is elsewhere in the country, hay is in short supply down here.
 
I really don't think the VAT increase will affect the cost of hay. We claim back all the VAT on our costs, all our clients are VAT registered also, except our hay customers, and hay is not subject to VAT so it will have no effect on them. The only way that the VAT increase would affect your hay price is if your suppliier is not VAT registered.
