£4500

PLus I like the one above that with things like "good in traffic" (well he is with me) "he does stop"(well I can stop him)

I don't know about others but I would only advertise a "problem" on project horses and expect to get practically nothing!

They clearly have no idea on the prices of horses! I bet the person that sold it to them for £3850 was laughing all the way to the bank! In poor condition, an old untreated injury and having done nothing that was a ridiculous price! More money than sense when they bought that.

there are some scary looking horses on there - that's for sure! You just know when youread these ads that the people selling them are most likely scared to death of them and the horses are psychos! The prices some of them ask as well...what planet are they on????

This is for "Fineggan" right? That horse sounds like it has loads of issues TBH! And cant believe she goes into so much detail about falling off him, you can be TOO honest in adverts!! She could have just said "due to fall out hacking (not horses fault), I have lost my confidence). Simple!

I guess she wants that amount because she paid way too much for him in the first place! The picture is horrid as well, Im sure she could have found a better one.

I think quite a few horses on there are overpriced. I was offered a problem horse last year - a guy called me (in reply to a wanted ad) saying he wanted £2500 for his 14.2hh who was said: "great in everyway, except he has bolted a few times, but we've never fallen off him when he's done it so he does it safely!" OH GREAT!!!! £2500 for THAT?!!! I hate to think that a kid ended up with this crazy pony.

All that money for something lame and/or dangerous???
People seem to have a strange idea of what their trashed horses are actually worth!!

I feel really sorry for the lame appaloosa who although 'lame in trot' his seller now feels that 'he is able to come back into work'....??

My heart goes out to the lovely looking ex prix saint georges horse whose brains have clearly been blown to pieces by being pushed too far too soon.
£4000 for a horse that can no longer think straight or accept the bit, and will only do the movements 'when he is in the mood'.
Possibly one of the saddest things I've seen in a while ...

That one tugged at my heart strings too!
If I was super rich, I'd buy him just to cuddle him, play with him & make him happy again, poor chap!
Very, very sad, that one!

I've used PH before and when it started there were genuine projects on there that were free to good home or very low in price. I do still like the website but I think there can be greedy people on there who are looking for a return on what they invested rather than the best home for the horse.

What are peoples views on Leonardo? Just out of curiosity.

Are there still genuine project horses to buy out there?????

The horse referred to by the OP I am assuming is Finnigan. All I can say is OMG. How can anyone ask that much money for a horse with such obvious issues.

Looks nice but depends how much they are asking?

i had a look on there a while ago and i was taken aback by what people are asking for these 'problem' horses, its ridiculous (sp), i felt bad for the dressage horse too

QR,
Personally think that most of the adverts are a load of tosh, and there is naff all wrong with half the horses - except for being owned by muppets!
The prices never fail to amaze me, and the fact that while people tend to write a fairytale of every fart the horse has ever done, they usually forget to put something crucial like age.

Yes, I felt awful for him too, sounds as though he was bought as a proper 'downgrade' schoolmaster but now... what is he worth? Perhaps a year off and an 'arena' ban for a while to let him be just a horse.

Actually, if I had the money and time I'd love to try to help him, I feel so sorry fr overproduced young horses!

I agree with that too

Very sad.

PMSL!! That is one of the funniest ads I have seen in a while, I wouldnt pay more than £500 for a horse like that, although I have to say the horse is probably very nice, sounds like the rider lacks experience and ability, but all the same WHAT PLANET??

Blooming heck - first thing that strikes me is how many horses have been involved in NH and Parelli

I didn't think the horse sounded THAT bad really. Not worth £4500 maybe, but if you disregard the long spiel shes gone into to make it sound totally nuts, it doesn't sound an awful lot worse than many "Normal" horses advertised.
