You have a £5000 budget to buy your next horse with, now go find your ideal horse and post link.

Just being nosey, want to see what everyone would buy

I knew the chestnut horse personally in your post magic and schooled him when he came over from Ireland. A lovely horse in every way. Wonder what he is doing now.

All of these are quite nice, in an ideal world I would have a medium weight 14.2 -15.1hh Highland, Welsh D, Criollo or warmblood x, who was betweeen 7 and 9 and either roan, dun, black or blanket spotted, who was show quality, an all round RC schoolmaster and confidence giver, well schooled and responsive but non spooky, excellent in traffic, to catch, load etc and that hacks alone and doesn't get excited in company. A horse that a cheeky character would be nice. Something with experience of Parelli and trained to ride western as well would be great. Am not sure £5000 would be enough

That's roughly $10,000

Hmmmmm, going shopping next week as it happens, but don't intend to spend anywhere near that amount. You can have the change back

What could I get for $10,000 just browsing in Ontario? (Allowing for the fact that is, what, 7 times larger than the UK?)

Asked for any breed/ any age from $9500-10,000

This is what Horsetopia came up with:

I have mine! Bought him from a top SJ family. He's 5 with emilion and magic darco bloodlines a bit sharp at the mo but he'll settle. Fabulous movement and a serious jumper. Was lucky to be in the right place at the right time and had been very patient in my search. If he'd been on the open market he would have been up for double what we paid - shows what word of mouth can get you.

I have mine too! Mine would have been advertised for more than that but never got that far! He's been my perfect horse for the past year and a half, so was worth every penny.

Just bought mine: 16.2hh 8 year old ISH gelding. BSJA winnings. Furisto's Diamond and Clover Hill bloodlines. Lovely temperament. He's arriving Monday so will post pics then
