Includes all bringing in/turning out, rug changes all hard feed and bedding on straw, hay. Use of menage, canter track, round pen, hot water shower for legs, heated rug room. Just no exercise - wot we think?

here that's known as part livery and full includes exercise and tack cleaning. Part at current yard is £480pcm and full is £650pcm

it depend what area you live in to whether it is cheep or not? i live in lincolnshire and my friend runs a yard all inclusive (apart from exercise) £70 pw so it depends. is it a nice yard and are you happy with the service they provide? or do you think it is a bit of a doddgy yard and your horse will not get the attention you want him to?

Depends on where in the UK you are.

I'm 40 per week for basics, but for 75 per week, I can have full livery that includes the lot bar exercise and grooming.

I think in most areas, 90 would be reasonable for what u list x

Depends on your area so best to ask locally but that is the going rate down here for Full livery. You'd pay a hell of a lot more for exercise in my view - more like £120-150. Sounds like good facilities, better than the ones I pay £90 pw for!! The other thing I would check is what happens about mucking out the field - I got really pissed off when the DIYers asked me to help with poo picking the field when I was paying £90pw & they were paying £26!! I'm not being precious as I do his stable whenever I'm up & it is dirty (which is more often than my yard owner to be honest!). I wish I had been more clear with my yard owner when I got there as I do sometimes feel taken for granted when round the corner has better facilities & the horses get groomed for the same price!!

thats about what it is in notts - please please make sure though if your taking it up they are doing what they say they are. Ie mucking out properly and giving enough hay etc

Do you have to wash the rest of the horse with cold water??

Sorry - couldn't resist! Seems cheap to me :)

My YO does all bring in/turn out, hold for vet/farrier etc, bedding on shavings, haylage, use of indoor/outdoor, play pen, hot water wash off, secure tack room and immaculate horse (strapped daily) for £170/wk

My gosh where are you? £170 without exercise seems a lot!!!

That sounds cheap. Where in the country are you?
I pay £120 for part livery (everything is done & provided except ridden exersize & supplements), and we don't have great facilities. There are yards near me that charge £140 and £160 a week for the same, but have better facilities
A friend of mine who was offering part at her yard, has stopped doing it. Just not worth it for her. By the time she's paid for the horses hay (which has doubled in price in less than 18 months), feeds, bedding, plus all the other spiralling costs in running a well maintained yard, and her time looking after the horses, she decided it's just not worth it.

ooh arh me maties Cheers everyone:) It's just that it's more than my mortgage is currently:( So hubby giving me a bit of stress, but I just can't stand the Yard politics/atmosphere where I am and it's the only thing in the area available to me as everywhere else is full. The menage is twice the size of a normal menage too so its fab. I be tinking I go der now, ooh arrrrr....

Very cheap! My stables part livery (which sounds like what you have been offered) is £500pm or full livery (exercised 6 times per week, groomed daily, tack-rugs cleaned) is £650pm

Thats what it is at the yard I used to be at - we called that 7 day part livery and it included one bag of shavings a week (had to pay for extra) not straw and hay or haylage. Didnt have the hot water wash down though and Im pretty sure its not even got a wash box any more (moved back end of july) That was on the notts/leics border :)

Down here (watford, herts) you cant get that for less than £120 pounds again no hot water so depending on where in the country you are it sounds good!

Depends where in the country you are I pay £90 a week for full livery with all that appart from we don't have a round pen and canter trank, but we are on shavings and ours includes tack cleaning.
