Can anyone recommend some good 1-2 week intensive courses - riding or riding/management?

I'm looking for some inspiration regarding how to spend this year's annual leave from work. Basically looking for a challenging learning break, thought an intensive class of some sort may be good. Would be interested in preparing for a qualification, for example BHS stage 1.

Many thanks

Not sure what your riding level is but there are some nice places which run clinics and training courses over long weekends etc.

I'm booked into Mary Wanless flatwork clinics this year, which inc a 5 day course. In the Cotswolds so I've booked a nice local pub B&B and am hoping for a week of intensive tuition, fresh air and good company! You can take your own horse or use a school horse.

Also Talland might do something similar, they have some nice horses. Am pretty sure Enlightened Equitation/Heather Moffatt will hold similar events.

I'm also going for a hunt prep course with Harry Meade in the Autumn if you're into hunting/xc !

Lovely way to spend a holiday - I hope my boyfriend agrees :)

That just sounds so appealing, Cotswolds, horses, pubs, holidays, no children....

_CJ_ Ingliston near Glasgow have the simulators, plus some lovely schoolmasters. They also have chalet accommodation. Not sure if they do "courses" as such but you could certainly stay there and mix simulator/real horse lessons.
