It's not even October yet and I had to clip one of the racehorses today as the vet was in so I could get it sedated.

Blah.

Not a happy bunny! Even just 1 measly day counts when you are faced with a wall of itchy hair for the next 4-5 months!

Nope, no shower at the yard - just a bulk buy of baby wipes! I have plastic waterproof trews and jacket, 2 baseball caps, a large supply of dust masks and a pair of goggles! I learnt many years ago that hair balls in the throat are no fun!

At the moment there is only 1 other that needs done, the rest have held their coats really really well. I suspect I will have a few more to do in a fortnight or so though.

Horse hair in your bra. Not fun.

I remember this discussion on another forum awhile ago - a full body wet suit was propsed as a good idea. Still looking for someone to try it.

Clip them while they're still wet from their bath. (No damp half dry, wet!)

Hair peels off in ribbons, you are hair free.

As long as it's nice and clean wet hair you're good to go!

I have done this many many times, we show our dairy cows and I clip my own horse and a few others.

But if you clip dry please post pics of your awesome anti-hair everywhere suit :D
