The weather here is a bit weird. We have winter hours for sunrise and sunset but unseasonably warm weather.

Apparently, as told on the wireless this afternoon, the English channel is about 3 to 4 degrees warmer than is usual for this time of year.
I've just been down to the shed to get some tools... and the daisies are flowering in the grass.

I look forward to the shortest day but the weather up here is usually worse jan/feb/March and all the grass will be gone then so maybe I’d rather stay this side as we’ve had pretty decent weather so far in November.

I hate November, here in Oxfordshire it has rained continuously, we've had a panic to bring all the cattle off the water meadows because they are flooded. I cant walk pony out round the farm because thee are cattle, or sheep in every field, until tipping is finished and the cattle are yarded. Everything I want to do now is being geared towards January. These next few weeks are to be endured until Christmas is out of the way and life can get going again!

It's about 14 degrees here today and my primulas are flowering 🙄

I have actual strawberries on my plants, I noticed a fresh crop of flowers a week or so ago and now there are pale white fruits. I shall cut them off as they'll never ripen and will rot and exhaust the plant. It's all a bit terrifying....

It is very mild here, but has also been very wet, and there have been lots of days when it feels like it never really gets light. Plus, when I'm inside during all the daylight hours, I think that's not very good for me mentally. Because I get into work by about 8, I don't get much benefit from the mornings being light.

Lighter afternoons yes please!

It’s ridiculously mild. I’ve just been for a walk on the beach and had to take my fleece off and go in just a t-shirt (and trousers before you lot start 🤣 ) and even then I was hot.

I don't mind what the weather does - if pushed, I probably prefer wet and mild to v.cold but am counting down to the daylight and when I don't to hack before work by torchlight! 🥳

We have barely touched on winter here yet in SW Scotland. The rain has been far less than in England, plenty of sun and very mild. At the moment it gets light in the morning between half 7 and 8 and dark by 5. Daylight will get far more sparse, not light till getting on for 9am and dark by 4pm. Very depressing, especially when you live alone. January can be very miserable.

Think it has rained in my area almost every day for the past month. All day and all night type rain. Water coming up out of the road grids and barrelling down the farm lane. Just praying the temperature doesn't start dropping because the ice and snow will be worse. The phrase 'no such thing as bad weather, only the right clothes' is wearing a bit thin....

Even though the weather will doubtless be worse in Jan/Feb, once we're past the shortest day it feels like SOMETHING is heading in the right direction and that the end is coming, even if it's not quite in sight.
