1 Year 'Gotcha Day' with my Retired Greyhound

Hi Everyone!

So, some of you may remember that more or less a year ago (24th Jan 2019) I adopted a retired greyhound from the greyhound trust. I've now had her just over a year and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I know Levrier does a great job showing everyone how wonderful these dogs are but I thought I would join in for today :D

Awwww such a beautiful girl ❤️ I know I go into overload about greyhounds so I really love seeing other posts about how fabulous they are - she has really fallen on her feet with you and is clearly having a wonderful life ??

thank you! I understand why people say you can never have just one! I’m trying very hard not to get her a friend!

well.... they do love having a friend very much.... and having two is really no different to having one ?

I’d always have two given the choice, it’s only when (like me) you are mad enough to have more than 2 that it gets more complicated ?
 
Gorgeous girlie - lucky pair to have each other

Adore my greyhounds and volunteer for local trust as well as running their insta page and being owned by one (black girlie called Storm who filled a gap after losing my first Boots), such fab characters!

here's to many more gotcha-versiaries! :D
 
Beautiful girl, ours will 4 years on the 14th Feb and it's gone so fast, but like you one of the best decisions I ever made! I have wanted a greyhound since I was little but finally 4 years ago it was the right time and I adore her, I would love another (or two) too! They really do make such wonderful companions, I'd be lost without my girl

Thank you :D I wish my local trust was closer so I could volunteer a bit more but no doubt I would definitely end up with another if I did that!

They are great! I was fairly ignorant of the breed before we got Bella but luckily my partner had a friend with one and was keen to get one so I am very happy that we did!
