1 Year 'Gotcha Day' with my Retired Greyhound

Hi Everyone!

So, some of you may remember that more or less a year ago (24th Jan 2019) I adopted a retired greyhound from the greyhound trust. I've now had her just over a year and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I know Levrier does a great job showing everyone how wonderful these dogs are but I thought I would join in for today

She is trying so hard to look dignified with soft toys balanced on top of her, I am guessing the next pose is more normal with no dignity within a ten mile radius.

Awwww such a beautiful girl I know I go into overload about greyhounds so I really love seeing other posts about how fabulous they are - she has really fallen on her feet with you and is clearly having a wonderful life ??

yes, she likes to think she’s dignified but most of the time she’s not ?

well.... they do love having a friend very much.... and having two is really no different to having one ?

I’d always have two given the choice, it’s only when (like me) you are mad enough to have more than 2 that it gets more complicated ?

Even three greyhounds are easy to be honest.....just don’t get a terrier ?

Adore my greyhounds and volunteer for local trust as well as running their insta page and being owned by one (black girlie called Storm who filled a gap after losing my first Boots), such fab characters!

Beautiful girl, ours will 4 years on the 14th Feb and it's gone so fast, but like you one of the best decisions I ever made! I have wanted a greyhound since I was little but finally 4 years ago it was the right time and I adore her, I would love another (or two) too! They really do make such wonderful companions, I'd be lost without my girl

Thank you I wish my local trust was closer so I could volunteer a bit more but no doubt I would definitely end up with another if I did that!

They are great! I was fairly ignorant of the breed before we got Bella but luckily my partner had a friend with one and was keen to get one so I am very happy that we did!

Beautiful! They are wonderful dogs and most people who have had one would definately have another, or two! Lucky, happy dog
