10 month old, shod up and broken to drive...can anyone help?

If you are saying that these people are above the law then I think I despair I really do,this country has gone to the dogs. Every which way.

The law is not the problem it's finding people in authority to actually deal with these people.

Travellers set children up to fight one another, proper bare knuckle contests, in any other community it would be classed as child abuse and the adults involved would face prosecution no question. With travellers, no one is interested, Social Services nor the Police. Now, if they won't protect vulnerable children you have no hope with animals.

Pale Rider is right.

Plus, this is going to be controversial... I am not particularly worried about the horses in these pictures. It means the owner or person responsible still values them at some worth and will prob carry on caring for them to some degree.
It's the ones out of sight of the lense that worry me, the ones that are no longer considered useful or are now too sick to even be worth a glance. I've seen it and trust me guys, you want to 'rescue' this one? Well you wouldn't even be able to look at the others. THEY are the charities main priority guys and by hook or by crock they fill up the establishments and vets. Not that the charities would get any thanks because they 'don't collect the healthy one straying on the road'.

Now I'm not saying some kind hearted person shouldn't buy it, yes there is the argument you are encouraging, but that's not the motto I live by. I live by " saving one animal Won't change the world, but it will change the world for that one animal". Maybe it's time for everybody to see what really happens!!

I still stand by my comments from earlier in this thread, I knew the rough value of this horse. It's not one that people would go and and save to put in a field, like I say I have been there personally twice.
It's not a cheap horse, by paying £2k this means that indeed the owner could go out and not buy one more but a heck of a lot more.

I disagree with the fact that apparently by me saying this I am turning a blind eye to neglect, I do not in anyway agree with the racing of a 10month old, nor do I agree with the shoeing of one. I haven't said otherwise. I am one of the people who do take on rescue so certainly not agreeing with what they do, or infact saying ignore those in need.

It was from a personal experience of actually meeting them, knowing there prices, knowing what they do :)
